Recipe

Know what's in your non-dairy milk. It's easy to make and healthier too.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup nuts or seeds (almond, cashew, sunflower) soaked

  • 2-3 cups distilled or purified water

Instructions

  • Soak nuts/seeds for 8-12 hours.

  • Drain and rinse.

  • Place in blender with about ½ of the water.

  • Blend until nuts/seeds are chopped into small pieces.

  • Add more water for desired consistency.

  • Less water will yield a more creamy milk.

  • Pour through strainer for a smoother drink.

Notes

  • Cashew milk is creamy and may not need strained

  • Almonds are best strained through a cloth and drained into a glass container

  • Sunflower seed milk is great in smoothies and does not have to be strained unless a more smooth milk is desired.
