1-2” fresh ginger
1 wedge of lemon including peel
Blend thoroughly for about 2 minutes until completely smooth. May take longer if not using a high-speed blender
Makes about 7 cups
Consume within 24 hours for optimal nutritional value.
Store in glass jars in the fridge.
A large glass can be consumed for breakfast and more before lunch and dinner. Anytime you are hungry, drink some of this smoothie. Before going out to celebrations with friends and family have a large glass of smoothie.
This smoothie will supply a very nourishing and satisfying quantity of vegetables and fruits along with minerals, vitamins, fiber, fat and Omega 3s.
Note: when using a fresh pineapple, save the outer skins and core to make pineapple water. Place skin and core into a large stock pot. Cover with water and bring to boil. Turn off the burner and allow to steep overnight. Remove pineapple pieces and store this flavored water in glass jars in the fridge. This gives a little sweeter taste to all the greens in this smoothie.
